Rides For Relief:
Fueled by Passion, Driven by Purpose
A car show and fundraiser run BY women, FOR women and families in crisis.
Founded to celebrate freedom after abuse.
Rides for Relief began in 2018 not just as a car show—but as a celebration of freedom. Freedom from fear. Freedom to heal. Freedom to rebuild. Founded by best friends Keri Looijen and Tracy Loeppky, this woman-led movement started as a bold act of hope for women and families fleeing domestic violence.
Fueled by passion (and maybe a little octane), the first event was pulled together in just two months and raised $2,000 for YWCA Calgary.
Their second event brought in $3,500 for Airdrie P.O.W.E.R. women’s shelter.
By 2020, the third show roared into town and raised $10,575—all for Airdrie P.O.W.E.R.
Every vehicle at Rides for Relief tells a story—of horsepower, heritage, and healing. But make no mistake: this isn’t just a car show. It’s a community-powered revolution, where chrome meets courage and vintage vibes meet real change.
