Running From Daylight

Brought together by their combined love for punk and rock ‘n’ roll, these possessed musicians have joined together to infuse their old school ‘billy sound with horrific inspiration that will keep you awake... and on your feet dancing the night away!

Running From Daylight captivates their audiences with a swinging and rocking rhythm section driven by Garrett’s clickin’ n’ clackin’ upright bass and Tarek’s high energy drumming. Andrew’s singing and Troy’s lead guitar lines paint the perfect landscape for their haunted tales and stories intertwined throughout each song.

Future Ghost Towns

Future Ghost Towns have been bringing their spin on old time Americana parlour rock to Alberta’s towns folk since 2017. Whether it's on a stage, a street corner, or in your living room, this motley assortment is guaranteed to entertain with their original blend of floor-stomping riffs and haunting lyrics. Showcasing the banjo, washboard, upright bass, guitar, violin, and percussion, this modern take on a traditional sound will make you kick up some dirt and say “goddam!”.

In 2021, the Future Ghost Towns family grew from 4 members, to an "undefined ensemble" of local musicians that allow us to adjust our size and sound for any performance.

The Confusionaires

The Confusionaires are an Edmonton, AB-based rock & roll trio that touts themselves as a ‘rockabilly band‘ and although their ties to traditional rock & roll are strong, their music and delivery are a few steps away from the early recordings of Rock & Roll. The Confusionaires are a rockabilly band for the modern era, and have more than just a firm grip on the spirit of Rock & Roll.

On the heels of guitar player & vocalist ‘Fat Dave’ Johnston’s previous band ‘The Fuzz Kings’ winding down, Dave figured it was time to turn up the heat on some musical conversations he’d had with bass player, Jayson Aschenmeier… and with a recent conversation with drummer, Adam Stark in mind about ‘on stage reckless abandon‘ in mind, it was time to make some introductions.

The formation of The Confusionaires was inevitable.

Murky Waters

Forged in the deepest crevices of the ocean, Murky Waters first set sail in mid-2022 and have been full steam ahead ever since. Gage and Rose (Vocals, Guitar, and Upright Bass) first met at an open mic in Downtown Calgary and the chemistry was obvious right away. I guess you can say Murky Waters truly started with the words “Hey man, need a bassist?”

Very quickly they put their original music together, along with some out there covers with a cow punk twist and hit the road gigging all over Calgary making a name for themselves in the local music scene and more importantly gaining the attention of the legendary Kermit VonMunster and Uncle Joe Gillis (Drums, Banjo and Vocals). After the first full jam it was all smiles, laughs, beers, and good old fashioned cow punk. It was settled, Murky Waters was a 4-piece dirty folk band!

Since then Murky Waters have established themselves as “your favorite drinking buddies” putting on electric live performances with a mixture of speedy guitar, raspy but melodic lead vocals, lighting quick banjo, slap bass and hypnotic drum beats to make you swing dance and head bang the nights away while making the people feel like they are amongst friends with a warm welcoming energy melting the hearts of the ever growing crowds that come out to dance and sing with this misfit group of outcasts! With the unique ability to combine the experience and music tastes of 4 vastly different backgrounds, the biggest compliment heard is “What genre is this? I like it!” Very telling of the unique sound these hoodlums bring to the table!
