What’s Expected of Contestants (On Stage, Backstage, and Everywhere in Between)
Pin up contests are about confidence, creativity, and community—but they’re also public, professional events. Clear expectations help everyone feel safe, respected, and supported from load-in to final photos.
This isn’t about being rigid. It’s about creating a space where people can shine without unnecessary stress or drama.
Professionalism Is the Baseline
Pin up contests are usually a multi-day, public-facing event. Contestants are expected to:
Be on time for scheduled appearances, rehearsals, and stage calls
Follow event schedules and instructions
Represent the contest, partners, and community respectfully
Understand that you are visible—to the public, media, and future opportunities
You don’t have to be perfect. You do need to be prepared.
Dressing Room & Backstage Etiquette
Backstage should feel supportive, calm, and safe.
That means:
No gossip, bullying, or trash talk—especially about other contestants
Respecting shared space and personal boundaries
Handling wins and losses with grace
Remembering that everyone is showing up vulnerable
Not winning is not a failure. Making the space unsafe is.
Social Media & Public Conduct
Your online presence matters before, during, and after the event.
Contestants are expected to:
Refrain from public shaming or negative commentary
Avoid stirring conflict online or behind the scenes
Respect the privacy of fellow contestants, judges, and staff
Share excitement without tearing others down
We can hype ourselves without hurting each other.
Working With Judges, Photographers & Partners
Judges and partners are here to support the event—not to be pressured, cornered, or influenced.
Please:
Respect boundaries and instructions
Avoid lobbying or seeking feedback during the event
Treat all partners with courtesy and gratitude
Understand that many contribute their time and talent generously
Professional behaviour builds reputation—yours and the community’s.
Accountability & Care
If issues arise, they should be brought to the organizer—not handled through gossip or group chats. Clear communication helps problems get resolved quickly and fairly.
We take community care seriously, and that includes addressing concerns with respect and discretion.
The Bottom Line
This contest exists to celebrate pin-up culture in a way that feels empowering, joyful, and safe.
The expectation isn’t perfection.
It’s kindness.
It’s accountability.
It’s showing up like the powerful, grown-up humans we know you are.
